Where does the leather come from and how sustainable is the production?

Our leather comes from certified tanneries and is assessed in independent laboratories as well as through our own quality controls. All materials comply with European regulations and are processed only by certified partners who guarantee fair working conditions.

How do the models fit?

Our models come in different cuts, which are indicated in the product description. To help you choose the right size, we also recommend consulting our size chart, which provides detailed information on length and fit.

Can I have my Künzli sneakers repaired or resoled?

Yes, we offer a repair service to ensure the longevity of your shoes. Depending on the model, this may include resoling and other repairs. Whether a sneaker can be resoled depends on the sole construction. Our specialists examine each shoe individually. You can order repairs directly in our stores or by mail. Please allow up to two months for completion.

How to properly care for leather shoes.

To keep shoes looking their best for a long time, three steps are crucial: cleaning, caring for, and protecting. Dirt is removed with a brush, the leather is treated with the appropriate product depending on the material, and regularly protected from moisture with waterproofing spray. Shoes should never be dried directly next to radiators and need time to release moisture after wear.

Can the insole be removed to use orthopedic shoe inserts?

Yes. The insole made of Cambrelle or PU foam with dual-density shock absorber and microfiber lining is removable in all models.

Are Künzli Ortho® and Künzli Protect models recognized by health insurance and accident insurance companies?

Yes. The models are recognized as medical devices and can be reimbursed through health insurance or accident insurance, provided a corresponding prescription is available. The products are sold exclusively through our specialist retailers.

Can I order the Künzli Ortho® and Künzli Protect models from the online shop as a private individual?

Yes. The models can also be ordered as a self-payer, for example, if your insurance only covers two pairs per year and you need an additional pair, or if you want to wear Künzli Protect shoes prophylactically.

How do Künzli Ortho® shoes differ from Künzli Protect shoes?

Künzli Ortho® shoes are designed for medical requirements and indications and feature two longer stays on the medial and lateral sides. Künzli Protect shoes have one stay on each side and are robust everyday and work shoes. They are also often used as preventative shoes and offer stabilizing and muscle-activating properties.

Can Künzli Ortho® and Künzli Protect shoes be repaired or resoled?

Yes. Many models can be resoled or repaired. Whether a repair is possible depends on the specific model and condition of the shoe. Please contact our orthopedic specialist retailers for more information.

Why do we use leather instead of synthetic materials?

We deliberately choose leather because it's a natural product with unique properties. It's breathable, durable, and develops a unique patina over time. Since leather is a byproduct of the food industry, we're also contributing to the wise use of valuable resources.
